Greenwala – Social Network on How 2B Green?

Greenwala Social Network, Where People Can Learn to Be Green | Social Networking Blog – SociableBlog.com: “Greenwala, the first social network that unites consumers committed to living a more sustainable lifestyle with the brands that offer the products and services that align with their values, launched a public beta version of its online social community today.

Greenwala is a place where people can learn to be green. Greenwala’s flagship product is a social community made up of ‘greenwalas’ – people who share knowledge and help others live a greener lifestyle. Within this community, members can learn to be green, brag about being green and share their actions with their friends, family and community.”

Got to admit that the video is quite a Mac-PC commercial copycat (grins). I’ve put it down into Omnifocus to check out this social network at some future date. Of course feel free to see if it’s your sort of thing (smile).

There’s been a bunch of other green “social networks” that have popped up of late. Let me see if I can find a few:

“STOP! I’VE GOT TO TAKE A **!? FIRST”

You’ve definitely got to admire the Japanese for their dedication that’s for sure. And having everyone relieve themselves to lower weight is a hard core measure — I respect that. If anything they definitely save on fuel costs too.

Pee before you fly policy reduces carbon emissions | MNN – Mother Nature Network: “Officials say empty bladders will reduce passengers’ overall weight, therefore saving and reducing carbon emissions. The policy could lead to a five-ton reduction in emissions per month, ANA officials say, and that will save the company money as well.”
